The invite-neighbours promotion
Invite neighbours, play the demo first
Small towns grow by word of mouth. Invite friends and family to the waitlist with your personal link, and the neighbours who bring the most people to town get the free demo before anyone else.
How it works
- Join the waitlist. Your Cottage Deed comes with a personal invitation link (
mylakesidehaven.com/?r=…). It’s also on the thank-you page, and we’ll email it to you. - Share it. Email, WhatsApp, X, Facebook, Bluesky, a group chat: whatever your friends use.
- A friend joins through your link. That’s one invitation. It counts once their email address is confirmed (see below).
- When the free demo is published, the 200 neighbours with the most confirmed invitations get early access, before the demo opens to everyone. We’ll email the winners their access.
The rules
- What counts: a person who signs up through your link with an email address they confirm. Each email address counts once, for one inviter.
- Confirmation: when the waitlist moves to our email service, everyone on it gets one email asking them to confirm. Only confirmed addresses count, so winners are decided after that step. Invitations from before the move count too, once confirmed.
- What doesn’t count: inviting yourself, addresses that bounce or never confirm, and sign-ups that look automated or made up. We may remove entries we believe were gamed, and our decision is final.
- Ties: broken by who received their confirmed invitations first.
- The prize: early access to the free browser demo of Lakeside Haven, before it opens to everyone, for the devices the demo supports then. It has no cash value and can’t be transferred.
- Deadline: the day the free demo is published on this site. We’ll announce the date on the waitlist first.
- Changes: we’ll only change these rules if we have to (for example to stop abuse), and we’ll say so on this page.
What we store for this
Your invitation code, and for each person who joins through a link, the code they came with. Nothing else: no names of who invited whom are shown anywhere, and we never share your address with the people you invite or the other way round. The privacy page has the full picture.
