This page is short because there isn't much to tell. Here's everything this site collects, and what happens to it.

What the waitlist collects

When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address. If you fill them in, we also keep the name you'd like us to use, which Life Path you're drawn to, and where you'd like to play. Those three are optional.

Alongside that, we record the version of the consent line you saw when you signed up, which page you signed up on, and the date and time. We don't record your IP address, your device or anything else.

Every sign-up also gets a short invitation code for the invite-neighbours promotion. If you join through a friend's link, we keep their code next to your sign-up so their invitation counts. We never show who invited whom, and we don't share your address with the person who invited you, or theirs with you.

What it's used for

One thing: emailing you news about Lakeside Haven, such as when the demo is ready for your device or when the game launches. We don't sell, rent or share the list, and we don't use it for anything else.

Where your details are kept

The waitlist is stored in a database (Cloudflare D1) in Cloudflare's data centres, which also host this website. Only the creator of Lakeside Haven can read it.

To keep bots off the list, the sign-up form includes a short check by Cloudflare Turnstile. It checks that a person is signing up; it doesn't tell us who you are.

Moving to an email service

Once we've chosen an email service to send the news from, the waitlist will move there. You'll get one email asking you to confirm that you still want to hear from us, and we'll update this page to say which service it is.

Unsubscribing and deleting your details

• Unsubscribe any time with the link at the bottom of every email we send.
• Ask us to delete your details by writing to [email protected]. We'll remove them from the waitlist.

Counting visitors

To see how many people visit, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and collects no personal data: it counts visits, not people.

No ads, no tracking

There are no ads on this site and no tracking. We don't follow you around the web, and nothing here builds a profile of you.
